Through painting and ink, my work explores the intersection between humanity and the natural world, drawing inspiration from nature and femininity. I create paintings that balance brightness with muted tones, alongside detailed yet loose ink drawings.
Growing up between cultures and countries has had a lasting influence on the way I create. I continue to navigate the space between movement and rootedness. My practice is informed by this in-betweenness, with subtle cultural traces surfacing throughout my work.
My Indian heritage remains a constant source of inspiration. The stylised feminine figures in my work are influenced by traditional Indian folk art, one of the first visual languages I encountered in childhood. The warm, bold colours, textures, and distinctive patterns of Indian art continue to shape my approach to colour, composition, and form.
Alongside my studio practice, I work as a handpoke tattoo artist, where many of the same themes and illustrative qualities continue to evolve in a more intimate and permanent form. Before this, I studied animation and worked in visual design, creating artwork, animation, and live visuals for musicians. Now based in London, I continue to develop my practice through original artworks, prints, and handpoke tattoos.
